Women in Energy (WIE) Guyana proudly announces its newly elected Board of Directors for the 2025–2026 term. This new board brings together a powerful and diverse group of accomplished women leaders, each bringing unique experience and passion to strengthen the organization’s mission of empowering women in Guyana’s energy sector.

The new board members are:

  • Chairwoman – Ms. Filisha Duke: A seasoned entrepreneur and advocate for women empowerment, Filisha brings over 18 years of corporate experience, including 9+ years as a founder and CEO within the energy and services sectors.
  • Vice Chairwoman – Dr. Natasha Gaskin-Peters: A leading economist and co-founder of Fiscal Frontier, Dr. Gaskin-Peters brings strategic depth, regulatory insight, and a legacy of fostering local content development.
  • Board Secretary – Ms. Shanette Rayside: With over a decade of leadership across HR, compliance, logistics, and stakeholder relations, Shanette brings organizational excellence to board governance.
  • Director of Treasury/Finance – Ms. Shauna Garraway: With over 17 years of accounting expertise, Shauna is a financial systems specialist known for building resilient and results-oriented teams.
  • Director of External Affairs – Ms. Natasha Das: CEO and Chairman of A.S. Bryden & Sons and BPI Guyana Inc., Natasha has redefined distribution leadership in Guyana for over 19 years, combining business excellence with social impact.
  • Director of Programming – Ms. Evie Kanhai-Gurchuran: An award-winning digital strategist and Caribbean entrepreneur, Evie is the architect behind several regional empowerment programs for women and small businesses.
  • Director of Membership – Ms. Omrawattie “Ria” Seelochan: A licensed customs broker and CEO of Empire Logistics, Ria is a trailblazer in trade and supply chain management, bringing efficiency, transparency, and bold vision to WIE.
  • Director of Events & Fundraising – Ms. Terrianna Selby: A bilingual international partnerships expert, Terrianna has led high-profile diplomatic and cultural engagements and champions inclusive and impactful fundraising initiatives.

In her first official statement as Chairwoman, Ms. Filisha Duke shared:

“It is a distinct honour to serve as Chairwoman of Women in Energy (WIE) Guyana. Our new board reflects a vibrant blend of innovation, experience, and unwavering commitment to women’s advancement. We are ready to lead boldly, connect deeply, and expand opportunities for every woman who dreams of a future in the energy space. Together, we are not only shaping a stronger WIE but creating generational impact across Guyana and the Caribbean.”

The Women in Energy Guyana Board is dedicated to furthering inclusivity, fostering mentorship, and supporting capacity-building initiatives for women across the energy value chain.
